A Coral Springs taekwondo school with Korean roots

Parks Taekwondo is a martial arts school in Coral Springs, part of the Park's Tae Kwon Do group of schools in south Florida. The company names sister towns like Pembroke Pines, Boca Raton and Lake Worth, but this one is the Coral Springs home base.

Coral Springs had 138,783 residents in 2025, per the Census Bureau. The town sits in Broward County. The median home here was built in 1987, per the American Community Survey (2024).

The school tells a real family story. Grand Master Jung Soo Park grew up in South Korea and trained across several traditions, including time under General Choi, who went on to lead the International Taekwondo Federation. After a stint in the navy, he came to the United States on his own, and the family later settled in south Florida to build the school.

Preschool, kids and adult taekwondo classes

Most folks come here to get their kids on the mat. The school describes its preschool program as a fun way to build big motor skills, and says its kids program mixes self defense with tradition. Respect, focus and discipline come up again and again in how it talks about class.

It's not only for kids, though. The school states its curriculum pushes both body and mind for children and adults alike, with black belt as the long goal. It reports producing black belts for 50 years.

Doors are open weekdays from 11 am to 8 pm, and weekends are off. That makes it an easy after school or after work stop.

If you just moved to Coral Springs with a little one, ask about the current trial. The school says it covers two weeks of classes, plus a belt, a beginner packet and a T-shirt.
